Competitors are required to compete on slick tires that are purchased from the Gatorz Karting series entry form. MiniMax and Micromax drivers are limited to one set of four (4) slick tires per weekend. Drivers in all other classes may use a maximum of one set of slick tires per race day. Gatorz Challenge of the Americas drivers may compete on one set of slick tires throughout the weekend. If this option is utilized, slick tires used on Sunday must have the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas markings from Saturday.
Mojo D2 tires are the spec tire for MicroMax, MiniMax, Junior Max, Senior Max, and Rotax Masters. The Mojo D3 is the spec tire
for Rotax DD2 and DD2 Masters. The spec rain tire for the series is the Mojo W2 rain tire. Rain tires are the responsibility of the competitor. The series will not have a supply of rain tires for competitors.
Dry and Wet tires must be used as directional arrows indicate.
In Challenge of the Americas, Tires must be new the first time a kart is presented for competition. No “scuffed” tires are allowed. No modification of tires, including tire treatments or heating, is allowed. The series technical staff may check tire temperatures before karts roll onto the track.
Senior Max and Junior Max drivers may pick up their tires on the morning of race day. MicroMax, MiniMax, Rotax Masters, and DD2 and DD2 Masters may pick up their tires beginning Friday afternoon.
Damaged tires may only be replaced at the discretion of the series Tech Director
